Jon Matthews

Jon Matthews is the current Vice President of Engineering at Shogun. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Engineering at DataGrail from October 2020 to November 2021. At DataGrail, Jon led the organization's transition to a lightweight agile team structure. Jon also distributed senior engineers across the organization to maximize mentorship opportunities and introduced a lightweight agile process. In addition, Jon created BC/DR plans and security policies and successfully completed a SOC2 Type audit.

Prior to their time at DataGrail, Jon was the Head of SRE at Duo Security from October 2016 to October 2020. In this role, Jon was responsible for leading the company's Site Reliability Engineering team and managing key vendor relationships.

Before Duo Security, Jon was the VP Software Engineering at HelloWorld, Inc. from July 2011 to November 2016. In this role, Jon led a team of developers in creating software for the company's various products and services. Jon also participated in quarterly OKR planning and helped HelloWorld with their technology, product, and go-to-market strategy.

Jon began their career as a Senior Interactive Developer at Organic from March 2011 to July 2011. Jon then moved on to Snapshot Design where they worked as a Senior Developer from January 2005 to March 2011.

Jon Matthews completed a BS in Computer Science and Psychology from Central Michigan University. Jon also has certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in Scaled Agile Framework Program Consultant.
