Julian Koch

Julian Koch is a Senior Researcher at GEUS since December 2016, with a background in hydrological modelling, machine learning, big data, and remote sensing. Previous roles at GEUS include Researcher and Postdoctoral Researcher focusing on integrated hydrological model calibration. Academic experience includes a PhD at the University of Copenhagen from September 2013 to November 2016, concentrating on spatial model evaluation of distributed hydrological models and the development of new spatial performance metrics. A visiting researcher position at Princeton University involved large-scale hydrological modelling and spatial evaluation. Earlier positions as a Student Assistant involved GIS and fieldwork at GEUS and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
