Kristian Svennevig is a Senior Researcher at GEUS since October 2017, specializing in geohazard and landslide mapping and risk assessment in Denmark and Greenland. Prior to this role, Kristian served as a Research Assistant at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from January 2017 to October 2017, teaching structural geology at the bachelor's level. Kristian's journey at GEUS began in May 2010 as a Geologist, spending two years as a scientific assistant before pursuing a PhD. Additionally, during 2009, Kristian worked as a Field Technician at COWI, focusing on geophysical data collection. Kristian's academic credentials include a PhD in Geology from Københavns Universitet, completed in 2016, alongside a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Geology from the same institution, complemented by a specialized study in Arctic geology at The University Centre in Svalbard. Early education culminated in a Mathematically-oriented diploma from Haslev Gymnasium.
