Alma Winther Sørensen has work experience in various roles and companies. In 2017, they started as a Student Assistant at Novo Nordisk in the Global Drug Discovery Business Support department and worked there until June 2019. During their time at Novo Nordisk, Alma also served as a Master Thesis Intern in the Open Innovation department from February 2019 to June 2019. In 2019, they joined HERAX as a Consultant and worked there until February 2021. Currently, Alma works at GH Research as a Corporate Project Manager since February 2021.

Alma Winther Sørensen pursued their higher education at Copenhagen Business School from 2017 to 2019, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Business Administration and Bioentrepreneurship. Prior to that, they attended Københavns Universitet, also known as the University of Copenhagen, from 2014 to 2017 and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Nanoscience.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Alma has also obtained several certifications. In October 2020, they achieved the PRINCE2® 2017 Practitioner certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Alma Winther had previously received the PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training from the same institution in August 2020. Furthermore, Alma acquired the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org in February 2020.

Moreover, Alma has pursued other professional development opportunities. In October 2019, they completed a course titled "Basic Principles of Computerized Systems Compliance: Applying the GAMP® 5 Guide" provided by ISPE. Additionally, in September 2019, they attended a course on "Data Management for Clinical Research" offered by Vanderbilt University, and in August 2019, they participated in a course called "Design and Interpretation of Clinical Trials" conducted by The Johns Hopkins University. Alma also enhanced their skills in Excel 2013, specifically in advanced formulas and functions, through a course by LinkedIn in August 2019.
