Kai Gesing

Kai Gesing is a German national who has worked in the field of global health for over 25 years. Kai started their career as a medical doctor in Burkina Faso, where they worked for four years as the Chief Medical Officer in a rural medical zone. In 1996, they transitioned into the field of health management and began working as a regional health management advisor for the German Development Service. Kai then spent two years as a project coordinator for EPOS Health Management before joining the Global Health Investment Corporation in 2001, where they have served as director for the past 17 years.

Kai Gesing has a MSc in Community Health and Health Management from Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg where they graduated summa cum laude. Kai also has a Diplom in Tropenmedizin from the Prins Leopold Instituut voor Tropische Geneeskunde. Kai is currently a Dr. in Medizin at Universiteit Antwerpen.
