Jamie Gewirtz

Vice President of Engineering at Ghost Robotics

Jamie Gewirtz has extensive experience in engineering and research. Jamie began their career in 2004 as a Research Tech at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where they studied the role of Platelet Factor 4 and other chemokines on thrombopoiesis and coagulation in the murine model. In 2008, they became a Research Specialist in Robotics and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science. In 2011, they became the Lead Engineer at Kerathin LLC, where they developed and produced Kerathin’s products. In 2013, they became a Design Engineer at Micro Interventional Devices, where they worked on disruptive technologies that revolutionized percutaneous and minimally invasive structural heart repair procedures. In 2015, they became the Director of R&D, R&D Manager, and Senior Design Engineer at Portescap. Finally, in 2022, they became the Head of Engineering Project Management at Ghost Robotics.

Jamie Gewirtz obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Kenyon College in 2004. Jamie then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Engineering Robotics from the University of Pennsylvania, which they completed in 2010. Jamie also holds a 3D Systems Level 1 Certified Service Professional certification from 3D Systems Corporation.
