Jeremy Shapira

Jeremy Shapira is the current Chief Inclusion, Equity & Diversity Officer at Giant Eagle. Before this, they served as the Strategy Manager, Inclusion and Diversity from July 2019 to December 2020. Prior to that, they were the Special Projects, Inclusion and Diversity from November 2015 to December 2020. Before joining Giant Eagle, they were the Senior Director, Talent Acquisition from January 2012 to May 2014.

Jeremy Shapira attended the Yale University School of Drama, where they earned a certificate in technical theater with a focus on lighting design. Jeremy also worked as a master electrician at the school. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts in history of art from the University of Pennsylvania. Jeremy also has a diploma from Shady Side Academy. Jeremy has received certification from Lominger in Interview Architect and Leadership Architect 101, and they also have a PHR certification.

Jeremy Shapira reports to Laura Shapira Karet, CEO. They work with Kirk Ball - EVP & CTO, Graham Watkins - EVP & Chief Digital Officer, and Shakeel Farooque - Chief Customer & Marketing Officer.
