Courtney Gura

Courtney Gura, OTD, OTR/L has worked as a Lead Elementary Occupational Therapist at Giant Steps Inc. since August 2023. Previously, they held the role of Pediatric Occupational Therapist at the same company from May 2021 to August 2023. Before that, Courtney worked as a Life Skills Trainer at Little Friends, Inc. from June 2020 to May 2021. Courtney also gained experience as an Occupational Therapy Student at both Little Friends I and Swedish Medical Center in 2020 and 2019 respectively. Additionally, Courtney worked as an Occupational Therapy Student at Boulder Valley School District from January 2019 to April 2019.

Courtney Gura, OTD, OTR/L earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Children's Studies from Illinois State University in 2017. Courtney then went on to pursue their Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) at Midwestern University from 2017 to 2020.

In terms of certifications, Courtney obtained their Occupational Therapist license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in December 2021. Courtney is also registered as an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) in March 2021. Additionally, they hold various certifications including Direct Support Professional Certified - Level I (DSP) from Little Friends, Inc. in 2020, Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) Certification in 2018, Responsible Conduct of Human Research Certification from CITI Program, A Division of BRANY in 2018, Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) from the American Heart Association in 2017, and First Aid from the American Red Cross in 2016.
