Azad Ibrahimov

Azad Ibrahimov has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Azad began their career in 1997 at BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) Limited, where they held various positions including Offshore Operations Engineer and Department Head for Production Operations. Azad then joined BP Canada Energy Company in 2007 as an Engineering Team Lead, responsible for overseeing gas plants and compressor stations. In 2010, they became the Small Projects Team Leader, where they implemented project management protocols and assisted with offshore pipeline repair. In 2012, they were assigned as a Project Manager at BP Canada Energy, responsible for managing brown field projects in Trinidad and Tobago. In 2014, they joined Plains Midstream Canada as an Operations Engineering Manager, where they re-organized the Operations Engineering team and right-sized the Project Management Manual. Most recently, in 2019, they joined Gibson Energy as the Director of Operations Services.

Azad Ibrahimov attended Azerbaijan State Oil Academy from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor's degree with Honours in Mechanical Engineering.
