Rajesh T. Krishnamachari, PhD has a diverse range of work experience in various positions. Starting in 2003, they worked as an R&D Engineer for Tejas Networks, focusing on embedded applications development for high-end optical communication standards. From 2004 to 2005, they worked as an Engineer at Cambridge Silicon Radio, specializing in embedded systems design for wireless protocol stacks.

In 2006, Rajesh joined the University of Colorado at Boulder as a Research Assistant and Instructor while pursuing their PhD. Their research focused on the intersection of information theory and machine learning, specifically in unsupervised learning and wireless systems.

After completing their PhD, Rajesh joined Risk Focus in 2012 as a Risk Developer, where they provided strategic software consulting for various financial institutions and contributed to the design of rule engine framework.

In 2014, Rajesh joined J.P. Morgan as a Senior Quantitative Strategist, serving on the quant council for Global Research and co-authoring publications. Rajesh then moved to Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2018, where they became the Global Head of Data Science. In this role, they led ML and AI projects across equities, FICC sales, trading, and capital markets.

From 2019 to 2021, Rajesh worked as an Adjunct Faculty at New York University, teaching machine learning to M.S. students.

Most recently, in 2021, Rajesh joined GIC as the Director of the Investment Insights Group, leading a team focused on utilizing data and advanced analytics in idea generation, quantitative research, and portfolio management across public and private markets. The team aims to drive value creation and efficiencies within each asset department and benefit from synergies across.

Throughout their career, Rajesh has demonstrated expertise in various areas, including machine learning, data science, quantitative strategies, and risk analysis.

Rajesh T. Krishnamachari, PhD has a diverse education history. Rajesh completed a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2003. Rajesh then pursued further studies and obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder from 2006 to 2008. Rajesh continued their educational journey at the same university and completed their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering from 2008 to 2011. In 2013 and 2014, they engaged in part-time coursework in Mathematical Finance at New York University. Additionally, Rajesh also holds certifications in Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
