Jesse A. Shapiro

Jesse A. Shapiro is a Senior Vice President and National Head of Asset Management for the firm’s multifamily assets. He leads a team responsible for creating strategic business plans, executing renovation strategies, maximizing operating results across the portfolio and overseeing joint venture development investments. Jesse joined GID in 2012. Prior to his current role he spent seven years in GID’s Acquisitions group, most recently as Vice President of Acquisitions where he was responsible for the sourcing, underwriting and negotiation of new acquisitions and joint venture developments. Over that period, he was involved in the acquisition of 16 assets with a total capitalization of over $1.5 billion.

Before joining GID, Mr. Shapiro worked in portfolio management, asset management and underwriting roles for Boston Financial Investment Management and Wells Fargo. He graduated magna cum laude from Boston College with a BS in Finance and is a CFA Charterholder.
