Mark Paine

Mark Paine has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mark is currently working at giffgaff as a Lead Data Scientist, a role they started in May 2022. Prior to that, they were a Senior Data Scientist at the same company from September 2021 to May 2022. Before joining giffgaff, Mark was a Senior Data Scientist at Trilateral Research from June 2021 to August 2021. Mark also worked at ScottishPower, where they held various roles including Department Manager of Asset Integrity Management from January 2019 to June 2021 and O&M Asset Manager from December 2013 to January 2019. Mark's earlier experiences include working at Ørsted as a Relationship Manager in OFTO Management from March 2011 to December 2013, and at Emdot Ltd as a Senior Engineer and co-founder from April 2008 to March 2011. Mark also worked as an Engineering Consultant at various contracts and as a Lecturer in Aerospace Engineering at Queen Mary, University of London from September 2004 to April 2008. Mark's career began as an Apprentice Engineer & sponsored student at British Aerospace space systems from September 1993 to May 1997, where they gained valuable experience in the industry.

Mark Paine completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Manchester from 1994 to 1997. Mark then pursued a Master of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1998 to 2000. Following that, they completed their PhD in Aerospace from the University of Southampton from 2000 to 2003.
