Lauren Sorondo

Lauren Sorondo is a highly skilled professional with diverse experience in nursing, translation, and cultural affairs. Currently serving as a Progressive Care Nurse at Gifted Healthcare since August 2023, Lauren previously worked as a Neuroscience Nurse at UF Health Jacksonville from September 2020 to November 2023. Alongside nursing, Lauren has maintained a self-employed career as a translator, editor, and proof-reader since March 2018, specializing in English, Spanish, and Japanese translations. Prior roles include JET Program Coordinator and Cultural & Educational Affairs Assistant at the Consulate General of Japan in Miami, where responsibilities included organizing cultural events and processing scholarship applications. Additionally, Lauren has experience in account management and quality assurance in translation services, and has taught various language courses. Lauren holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida, along with degrees in English Language and Literature and Japanese Language and Literature.
