Dave Figoni

Dave Figoni's work experience began in 2006 at DIRECTV, where they worked as a Data Analyst in the Finance/Fraud Management Department. Their responsibilities included researching and investigating fraudulent activity and building fraud/compliance cases.

In 2009, Dave joined Platphorm, LLC as a Risk Lead and Data Scientist. In this role, they produced insights, analytics, and machine learning models using Python and R. Dave also deployed web applications and worked on various projects involving geospatial analysis, data visualization, deep learning, recommendation engines, web scraping, and machine learning algorithms. Furthermore, they built and deployed the company's payment and analytics tool.

Dave worked at Platphorm, LLC until 2018, during which they took on the additional role of Manager Risk Management. In this capacity, they demonstrated expertise in credit card operations, fraud detection, cost containment, chargebacks, and risk management. Dave monitored, audited, and investigated transactions and payroll, and approved/declined and monitored CNP transactions within the payment processor.

From 2019 to 2020, Dave served as a Senior Data Scientist at National Funding, where they continued to contribute their skills in data analysis and machine learning.

In 2020, Dave joined PepsiCo as a Senior Data Analyst, a position they held until early 2021.

Finally, in 2021, Dave became a Senior Risk Analyst at GIG Car Share, where they currently work.

From 2002 to 2005, Dave Figoni attended UC Santa Barbara, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology.
