Douglas Dimola's work experience includes a diverse range of roles and responsibilities. Douglas started their career as a Senior Airman in the United States Air Force from July 1997 to May 2001. Afterwards, they worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Ciena from January 2005 to March 2012, where they developed and maintained communication protocols and designed a simulator for testing subsystems.

From 2009 to 2016, Douglas co-founded and served as the Lead iOS Architect at Escape Velocity Apps. During this time, they planned and developed iOS applications and games, successfully deploying them to the Apple app store. Douglas also worked with startup companies to develop prototype applications for minimum viable products.

Finally, from November 2019 to March 2021, Douglas worked as an Advisor at Saturn Five Software, a software solutions partnership in Atlanta. Douglas provided software solutions and development services for various partners and organizations worldwide.
