Susanne Adelhardt Jensen has a diverse work history in various organizations. Susanne joined Gigtforeningen in 2019 and currently holds the role of Head of Strategic Partnerships. Prior to this, they worked as an Advisor, Strategic Partnership Development in the same company from May 2019 to December 2020. From December 2017 to January 2019, Susanne took a family leave. Before that, they served as the International Director at Sex & Samfund / Danish Family Planning Association from March 2016 to March 2017. From October 2014 to February 2016, they worked as a Coordinator at the Danish Institute for Parties and Democracy, where their responsibilities included project leadership and managing project partnerships internationally. From October 2011 to August 2014, Susanne worked as the Head of International Partnership Development at Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke – ActionAid Denmark, where they managed a team and provided overall support to governance programs. Susanne also worked as a Partnership Coordinator and Thematic Consultant in the same organization. Prior to that, they served as a Child Protection Officer at UNICEF Uganda from January 2005 to January 2007, managing projects related to children and women affected by armed conflict. Susanne was a Board member at DanChurchAid from 2001 to 2005, gaining experience in development and emergency work worldwide. Susanne also briefly worked as an International Consultant at the World Council of Churches in Denmark in 2001 and 2002.

Susanne Adelhardt Jensen obtained their Master's degree in Social Anthropology from Aarhus University, where they studied from 1996 to 2004. In 2000-2001, they pursued an MSc in anthropology at the University of London. In 2012-2013, Susanne attended KEA/Frontsetter for a Leadership Course specifically designed for NGO leaders in Denmark, focusing on Organisational Leadership. Lastly, in 2017-2018, they enrolled in Copenhagen Business School for a Coaching in Organizations program, which was ICF certified.
