Omar Ayad is currently the Associate General Counsel at Gilead Sciences, where they lead legal support for the U.S. Oncology Business Unit. Previously, Omar served as Senior Corporate Counsel at Pfizer, providing legal counsel on federal laws and regulations across multiple divisions, and held roles at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, Global Communities, and other notable organizations. Omar also gained valuable experience as a Judicial Intern for the U.S. Chief District Judge in the Western District of North Carolina. They earned their Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Highest Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
