Arun Shyam

Arun Shyam has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Arun began their career as a Research Assistant at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where they worked on developing a Linux-based multithreading program debugger. Arun then moved on to the National Institute of Technology, where they served as an Industrial Placement Representative. Arun then pursued their Master's in Computer Science at Stony Brook University, where they gained experience in system development, natural language processing, and computer visualization.

After completing their Master's, Arun joined Brookhaven National Laboratory as a Research Assistant, where they worked in the field of cosmology and astrophysics, focusing on developing a new clustering algorithm for astronomical objects. Following this, Arun joined adMarketplace as a Data Engineer/Python Developer, where they developed algorithms for big data analysis and software development.

Arun's next position was at Tapad, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer for almost five years. Arun then joined GIPHY as a Senior Software Engineer. In addition to their professional experience, Arun also worked as a Global Technical Mentor at wecode.

Throughout their career, Arun has gained valuable experience and expertise in various technologies and programming languages such as Python, C, Vertica, Lucene, NLP, sqlalchemy, and pyodbc.

Arun Shyam completed their Bachelor's degree in Technology Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2010. Arun then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University from 2010 to 2011.
