Eugene Kong

Eugene Kong has a diverse work experience across various industries. In 2017, they worked as an Associate Producer & Strategic Planning Intern at Filamentree Co., Ltd., where they created promotional content and significantly increased the client's Facebook page likes. Eugene also worked as a Part-Time Assistant to the Director at Weber Shandwick during the same year.

In 2018, Kong worked as a Video Production Intern at Charles River Media Group, assisting in both pre-production and post-production tasks for various corporate communications projects. Eugene also contributed to the research and consultation of neuroscience-related materials for a TV series in development.

Currently, Kong is employed at GIPHY, starting as a Korean Content Editor in September 2019. In this role, they created GIFs and animated stickers, generating significant views and enhancing the user experience for Korean users. Later, Kong transitioned to the role of a Search Analyst, where they led communication between the Search Engineering team and other departments to improve the Search product. Eugene also implemented processes for a human-in-the-loop Relevance Ranking.

Eugene Kong completed their high school education from 2008 to 2012 at Concord Academy, where they focused on Filmmaking, Environmental Science, and Discrete Mathematics. Subsequently, they attended Tufts University from 2012 to 2019, earning a Bachelor's degree.
