Romy Saplicki

Romy Saplicki has a diverse work experience, starting in 2011 as an Editorial Assistant for Takoma Voice. From there, they worked as an Editorial Assistant for American Journalism Review and Tablet Magazine in 2011 and 2013 respectively. In 2014, Romy worked as a Writer Freelance for Every Day with Rachael Ray before becoming an Office Coordinator at betaworks. Currently, Romy is the Director of HR at GIPHY, a role they have held since May 2022. They also have experience in operations at GIPHY since 2015.

Romy Saplicki pursued their education at the University of Maryland from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism. Following this, they attended Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism from 2012 to 2013, earning a Master of Science (M.S.) degree with a focus on Digital Media.
