Luke Bassett has extensive experience in the field of geospatial analysis and technology, currently serving as the Acting Digital Twin Victoria Principal, Technology and Strategy at the Department of Transport and Planning since June 2024. Previously, Luke held multiple roles within the Digital Twin Victoria initiative, including Acting Director and Automated Approvals Lead. Prior to this, Luke contributed to the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning as the Automated Approvals Lead, and served as the Lead Spatial Analyst at the City of Casey. Luke's background includes leadership positions such as Chair of the Local Government Spatial Reference Group Victoria and a series of consulting roles in notable firms including TechnologyOne and Digital Mapping Solutions. Luke's foundational education includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geomatics from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, completed in 2008.
