Jonathon McClellan

Jonathon McClellan has had an extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Jonathon started their career as the Central Texas Field Director for Texans For Rick Perry in 2009 and later served as the Chief of Staff for the Office of Rep. Wayne Christian in the Texas House of Representatives. In 2011, they became the Political Director for Ted Cruz's U.S. Senate campaign, where they played a key role in Cruz's successful election. Following that, McClellan served as the State Outreach Director for U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, managing strategic communication and outreach activities. Jonathon then joined the Jobs Growth and Freedom Fund as the Outreach Director, the Leadership PAC of Senator Ted Cruz. In 2015, McClellan became the Regional Political Director for Ted Cruz's Presidential campaign, overseeing multiple state campaigns across the country. Jonathon later worked as the Director of Outreach at Public Blueprint before joining AT&T as the Director of External & Legislative Affairs, where they led disaster response efforts and implemented AT&T Foundation grants. Currently, McClellan holds the position of Principal of Corporate Affairs at Woodside Energy.

Jonathon McClellan completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from Baylor University, which they attended from 2004 to 2008. Prior to their time at Baylor, they completed their high school education at Clements High School from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, Jonathon has obtained several certifications, including Basic Incident Command System For Initial Response ICS-200 and Introduction to Incident Command System, ICS-100, both from FEMA, in August 2023. Jonathon has also obtained a certification in Tropical HUET with CA EBS from OPITO in August 2023.
