Sofia Ruiz

Sofia Ruiz is the current Magazine Director, Art at Girl Genius. Prior to their current position, Sofia was a part of The Synapse Project, and before that, they were a part of Simply Neuroscience and the International Youth Neuroscience Association. As a part of Simply Neuroscience, Sofia was apart of the GirlsGotSTEAM x Simply Neuroscience Collaboration Project where they provided educational resources, lessons, activities, and presentations for youth interested in neuroscience. Sofia also contributed to the MYELIN Initiative as an editor, providing new ideas and aiding in the creation of a robust curriculum as well as outreach for high schoolers in neuroscience.

Sofia Ruiz graduated from Saint Francis High School. Sofia has a certification from the American Heart Association in CPR/AED/First Aid.

They work with Rumeysa Yilmaz - Magazine Director, Writing, Julianne Tenorio - Magazine Director, Creative Writing, and Kriti Sundaresa - Magazine Director, Creative Writing. Their manager is Chloe Yan, Executive Director.
