GIS Project Manager/FAA Certified Drone Pilot at GIS Surveyors

Andy O'Malley has a diverse work experience in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Andy started their career as a GIS Technician at TRC in 2005, where they provided support for the Pipeline and Terminals group by utilizing linear referencing techniques and creating base map layers for project areas. In 2007, they joined CH2M HILL as a GIS Analyst, where they supported Environmental Reports and served as a 3D modeling task lead for Utility and Federal government projects. Andy also provided instructions and task details for 10 staff members in India. Moving on to Critigen in 2009, Andy worked as a GIS Specialist, providing GIS support for Energy, Defense, Federal, Local Government, and Transportation projects. Andy created models, utilized Production Mapping and linear referencing techniques for the Energy group, and converted Geofidelis data models to SDSFIE data model standard for Blount Island Marine Corps Support facility. In 2016, Andy joined Geographic Information Services, Inc. as a Senior Geospatial Analyst, where they provided management support and technical expertise in the use of GIS, CAD, and automated mapping systems integration. Andy collected functional requirements, analyzed and documented business workflows, created geospatial databases and mapping products, conducted testing of geospatial applications, and performed quality assurance/quality control on data, processes, and workflows. Most recently, Andy has been working at GIS Surveyors, Inc. since 2018 as a GIS Project Manager/FAA Certified Drone Pilot, although specific details about this role are not provided. Andy O'Malley attended Hartland Arrowhead High School from 1996 to 2000. Following their high school education, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Geography at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater from 2000 to 2005. In September 2005, they obtained a certification in Environmental Geographic Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Additionally, in May 2019, Andy obtained a certification as an FAA-Certified Drone Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration.
