Chris Brown

Chris Brown has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Currently, they are employed at GITAI as the General Counsel, where they provide legal advice, sets internal governance policies, and handles complex legal and business matters. Prior to this, Chris worked at Virgin Orbit as a Senior Counsel, negotiating launch service agreements and handling internal legal matters. Chris also served as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel at KNK Engineering Consulting Corporation, where they managed POL/fuel system construction and engineering design projects. Chris has also been involved in the space law field, working as a researcher for the Space Generation Advisory Council in support of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications. Earlier in their career, Chris worked as an attorney at Trenam Kemker, where their practice included commercial litigation and intellectual property work. Additionally, they have held roles as a Legal Associate at the Greenlining Institute and Vice-Chairman of the Hillsborough County Democratic Party. Chris began their career as a Military Policeman in the US Army, serving at the United States Disciplinary Barracks and conducting honors services for fallen soldiers. Overall, Chris has extensive experience in legal, engineering, and space-related roles, showcasing their versatility and expertise in different fields.

Chris Brown began their education by earning an Associate's degree from Hillsborough Community College, which they attended from 2005 to 2007. Chris then continued their studies at the University of Tampa from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government. In 2008, they briefly attended the University of Oxford, focusing on Chinese Material Culture in the field of International Relations. Later, from 2010 to 2013, Chris attended the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, earning a J.D. degree specializing in Law (Boalt Hall). Additionally, in June 2016, they obtained a certification, the CQM-C: Certification, from the US Army Corps of Engineers.
