Matt Flechet has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies. Matt is currently serving as the Vice President of Sales at GitGuardian since 2023. Prior to this role, they worked at Microsoft as the Director Azure Digital & Application Innovation - Financial Services from 2022 to 2023. Before their time at Microsoft, Matt Flechet held various positions at GitHub from 2019 to 2022, including Director, Americas GitHub Advanced Security Sales (a Microsoft company), Lead Application Security Executive, and Enterprise Account Manager. Matt also worked at Sonatype as the Regional Sales Director from 2016 to 2019. In addition, they have experience at Red Hat as a Global Account Manager and Strategic Account Manager from 2013 to 2016. Before that, they worked at Software AG / WebMethod as part of the Supply Chain - BPM - BAM Tiger team and as a Regional Sales Manager from 2009 to 2013. Matt Flechet also has prior experience at NetManage (now Micro Focus) as a Regional Account Manager from 2005 to 2009, at SourceForge as a Territory Sales Manager from 2002 to 2005, and at HighGround Systems (acquired by Sun Microsystems - now Oracle) as a Sr Account Manager from 2000 to 2002.
Matt Flechet attended Ecole alsacienne and obtained a Bachalaureat B degree in Business/Commerce, General. Later, they enrolled at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Marketing.
In addition to their formal education, Matt has obtained several certifications. In January 2014, they completed a Negotiation course offered by the Successful Negotiators Club. Matt also holds a Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from The Lean Six Sigma Company, which they earned in July 2013.
Furthermore, Matt has pursued professional development in sales and selling techniques. In May 2010, they obtained a Sales Institute certification from Sandler Training. In October 2009, they completed a Solution Selling program offered by SOLUTION SELLING. Additionally, Matt has undergone training in executive level selling through Executive Conversations.
More recently, they acquired the Challenger Sales certification from Challenger in July 2020. In February 2022, Matt obtained a certification in Force Management from the Force Management institution.
