Jakob Herold

Jakob Herold has a varied work experience, beginning in 2016. In that year, they were an Intern at FreshDetect, a Venture backed BioTech Startup, where they were a Project Manager for the digitalization of the sales department. Theirresponsibilities included molding the sales process to digital capabilities, implementing it in the customer relationship management software, managing a team of two working students, educating the sales team, and reporting to the CEO.

In 2017, Herold was an Intern at Deloitte Deutschland in the Financial Advisory Division. There, they provided support in projects concerning Finance, Operations, and IT infrastructure of clients, and gained extensive experience in Financial Modelling.

In 2018, Herold joined Target Partners as an Analyst and Intern. As an Analyst, they provided advisory services to portfolio companies, optimized internal processes, and conducted extensive analysis of business plans, markets, and technologies, as well as financial modelling.

Most recently, in 2021, Herold joined Gitpod as Head of Data and Data Science Engineer.

Jakob Herold obtained a Master of Science in Computer Science from University College Dublin from 2019 to 2020. Jakob also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Management & Technology from the Technical University of Munich from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, they obtained a Service Engineering Training certification from the AFSMI German Chapter in April 2016 and a Seminar for Conflict Management and Conduct of Negotiation certification from the TUM School of Management in October 2015.
