Daniel MacKay

Daniel MacKay, SPHR, currently serves as the Vice President of Human Resources at Givens Incorporated, a position held since June 2023. In addition, MacKay is the founder of MacKay Talent Solutions, providing management consulting services focused on talent management strategies for small to medium-sized companies. Previous experience includes a role as the Mortgage Loan Officer at OVM Financial, and over 14 years at Norfolk Southern Corporation, culminating in the position of AVP Human Resources & Diversity, where support was provided for approximately 20,000 employees. Additional roles at Norfolk Southern include Director of Employee Development and Manager of both Training Center and Recruiting. Early career experience includes managing service operations at Insperity and consultancy at The Vandaveer Group, Inc. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology, a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech, and executive education from Northwestern University and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
