US Communities Director at GivingTuesday

Celeste Flores has worked in a variety of roles since 1998. Celeste began their career as an IT Business Process Consultant at Accenture in 1998. In 2001, they moved to the United Way of Greater Houston as a Development Specialist, Major Gifts, where they managed campaign efforts for Alexis de Tocqueville Society and supported Society chairman and volunteers during solicitations, campaign leadership meetings and donor events to secure individual gifts of $10,000 and above. In 2005, they became the Senior Associate Director, Major Gifts at Texas Children's Hospital. Celeste then moved to the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business in 2006, where they served as the Associate Director, Leadership Gifts. In 2008, they became the Vice President, Community Programs & Civic Leadership at the Foundation for the Carolinas. In 2012, they took on the role of Executive Director at I Live Here I Give Here, where they shaped the vision for the organization's community campaigns and strategies, creating a giving movement to make Austin the most generous community in the country. Celeste also headed the organization's financial sustainability, revenue generation, growth strategies and stewardship of community and corporate partnerships. In 2018, they became a Social Impact Consultant at an Independent Practice. Most recently, in 2020, they were appointed the US Communities Director at GivingTuesday.

Celeste Flores holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from Texas A&M University, with a major in Marketing.
