Madelaine Diaz has worked in a range of roles in the nonprofit sector since 2014. In 2020, they began working as a Program Manager for GivingTuesday and as a Humanitarian Advocacy Intern for Women Deliver. In 2019, they were a Student Worker at Fordham University School of Law. In 2018, they were a Programme Assistant (Refugee Project) at Independent Diplomat. In 2017, they were an Intern at the Permanent Mission of Panama to the United Nations and a Foreign Policy Intern (Middle East & Africa) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy Department, Middle East & Africa Division. In 2016, they were a Regional Communications Intern (Latin America & Caribbean) at Plan International. Finally, in 2014, they were an Events Intern at the Office of the First Lady of Panama.
Madelaine Diaz obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International/Global Studies from Fordham University between 2016 and 2020. Prior to that, they attended Colegio Episcopal de Panamá from 2003 to 2015, where they obtained a High School degree in Humanities/Humanistic Studies. In addition, they have obtained two certifications: Cash Transfer Programming - The Fundamentals from the Humanitarian Leadership Academy in May 2018, and Project Management Bootcamp from General Assembly.
