Henrik Hartmann

Henrik Hartmann is an experienced professional in international cooperation, currently serving as the Head of Secretariat for the South African – German Energy Partnership at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. In this role, Henrik coordinates bilateral energy policy dialogues, provides policy advice on various energy topics, and engages with diverse stakeholders. With a strong background in climate resilience, peacebuilding, and conflict management, Henrik has previously held positions such as Senior Adviser and Risk, Resilience and Peacebuilding Specialist at UNICEF, as well as various consulting roles focusing on development in fragile contexts. Henrik holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor's in Social Sciences and Master's degrees in Intercultural Communication Studies and Mediation from renowned institutions.
