Passant Rabie

Passant Rabie is a staff reporter at Gizmodo. Passant was previously a graduate student at New York University from September 2018 to December 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a journalist at Mada Masr from January 2014 to September 2018, and as a copy editor at Cairo Post from September 2013 to December 2013. Passant has also worked as a freelance journalist from February 2013 to September 2013, and as a senior writer at Egypt Today Magazine from October 2008 to February 2013. Passant also worked as a staff writer at Business Today Magazine from October 2008 to June 2011, and as an intern at The Daily News Egypt from June 2007 to August 2007.

Passant Rabie has a Master of Arts in Science, Health and Environmental Reporting from New York University. Passant also has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from The American University in Cairo. Passant has certification from the United Nations DPI in United Nations Reham al-Farra Journalism Fellowship and from Journalists for Human Rights in Advanced Rights Media Training.
