Martin Booth

Executive Director at Glasgow City Council

Martin Booth is the current Executive Director at Glasgow City Council. Prior to this, they were the Director of Finance and Governance at Glasgow Life from April 2010 to May 2018. Booth was also the Head of Finance at COSLA from June 2008 to April 2010 and authored the Concordat between Scottish Local Government and Scottish Government. Martin has also worked as a Senior Management Consultant at IBM from April 2004 to April 2006 and as a Managing Director at Isoplan from April 2006 to June 2008.

Martin Booth attended St Aloysius College for high school before going on to Glasgow Caledonian University for their undergraduate degree in accountancy. Martin then obtained their MBA from Glasgow Caledonian University before becoming a Chartered Public Finance Accountant through the CIPFA (Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy).
