Vinh Thanh Nguyen

Vinh Thanh Nguyen serves as the GFANZ JETP In-Country Lead for Vietnam at the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ), starting September 2023. Previously, Vinh held various significant roles, including Vietnam Country Coordinator/Correspondent at the European Commission, where support was provided for the EU's climate-related policies. Experience as the Vietnam Director for Consulting at ERM involved building relationships with financial organizations. As an Environment Policy and Climate Change Specialist at the Asian Development Bank, Vinh developed technical guidelines for climate change adaptation and managed projects related to green freight. Other notable positions include Senior Water and Environment Sector Expert at the European Commission and Senior Manager of the Water and Climate Resilience Program at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Vinh's expertise spans environmental policy, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development, supported by a master's degree from IHE Delft Institute for Water Education and a postgraduate qualification from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
