Fabio Riccardi

Chief Scientist at Glass Imaging

With over 30 years of experience and a background in Electrical Engineering, Particle Physics and Computer Science, Fabio has worked in many different companies and organizations, such as CERN, Apple, Facebook, and Google. In his career Fabio has been following his interest for Science and Engineering, becoming an expert in signal processing and High Performance Computing. Motivated by a passion for Visual Arts, he has been a leader in the field of Computational Photography. Recently at Apple (2011-2016) Fabio was a lead engineer in the Camera Algorithms team, responsible for some of the core algorithms of the iPhone's Camera (HDR, Noise Reduction, Image Stabilization). At Facebook and Google Research (2016-2020) Fabio contributed to speeding up the execution of Neural Networks with the Mobile GPU backends of Caffe2 and Tensorflow. As an entrepreneur, Fabio founded two companies: XQRL (2002) and Light Crafts (2006).
