Jasper Tan

Computational Imaging Research Engineer at Glass Imaging

Jasper Tan has a diverse work experience beginning in 2013. Jasper was an Undergraduate Physics Tutor at Santa Clara University, an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Santa Clara University Center of Nanostructures, and a Corporate Application Engineer Technical Intern at Synopsys Inc. In 2014, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Santa Clara University Frugal Innovations Lab, where they designed circuits, coded microcontrollers, and developed a PCB that served as an affordable and portable potentiostat device to be used for the detection of arsenic in water. In 2015, they began their PhD Candidate role at Rice University Electrical and Computer Engineering. In 2019, they worked as a Computational Imaging Intern at Light. Most recently, in 2022, they were a Software Engineer Intern at Meta, and they are currently a Computational Imaging Research Engineer at GLASS Imaging.

Jasper Tan received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and Engineering (double major) from Santa Clara University in 2015. Jasper then went on to receive a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University in 2018, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rice University, which is expected to be completed in 2022.
