Steven W.

Steven W. began their career in 1985 as a Communications and Electronic Officer for the Metropolitan Police Chief Engineers Department, where they learned electrical systems, digital and analogue electronics, software engineering, and PC systems and networks. In 1990, they moved to Pitney Bowes as the UK Technical Support Manager, managing a team of software engineers, administrators, and field service engineers. In 1992, they joined ICL EDACOM Ltd as a Senior Software Engineer, working on the largest OS/2 product built at the time. From 1995 to 1996, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer for Datalogic (UK) Ltd, designing and producing software and systems for handheld terminals and PC based data collection systems. During this time, they also worked as an Independent Contractor for Texcel Technology Plc, developing battery monitoring software for a rackmount module. From 1999 to 2010, Steven W. held the position of Senior Software Engineer for Delphi Automotive Systems, where they designed and built an intranet based tool in PERL/CGI/MySQL to manage and deliver and merge calibrations for vehicle controllers. Steven then moved to Protean Electric Ltd as a Senior Software Design Engineer, developing embedded software for an automotive system control. Since 2012, Steven W. has been the Principal Software Architect for Glasswall Solutions.

Steven W. studied Electrical, Electronic and Microprocessor Engineering at The Open University from 1989 to 1992. Prior to that, they obtained a Higher and Ordinary National Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Microcontrollers from Southgate Technical College, North London between 1982 and 1986.
