Walter Leiva obtained a Master's Degree in International Development from American University, graduating in 2017. Prior to that, they pursued a major in Marketing at Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas from 2005 to 2012. In 2009 to 2010, they also completed a program called "Abroad at AU" focused on Marketing at American University's Kogod School of Business. In terms of additional certifications, Walter Leiva obtained the Certified Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) Foundation from APMG International in August 2019.
