Vishal Bansal

Vishal Bansal, PhD has extensive experience in leadership and innovation in the engineering and materials industry. Vishal currently holds the position of Vice President R&D & ESG and CTO at Glatfelter, where they oversee global innovation, product strategy, R&D, and new product/business development. Prior to this, Mr. Bansal served as the Vice President of Innovation at Parker Hannifin, leading a global team focused on filtration technology and lean manufacturing. Vishal also worked at GE Energy as a Strategic Technology Leader, leading teams in the development of new products and technologies, and at DuPont as a Technology Leader and Senior Engineer, playing key roles in product development and process optimization. Mr. Bansal also serves as a Board Member of Blue Ocean Closures.

Vishal Bansal, PhD, obtained their Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma between 1992 and 1997. Vishal then pursued an Executive MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University - School of Business from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they received a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 1988 to 1992. Additionally, they hold a certification in Six Sigma Green Belt from DuPont (2003) and GE (2008).
