Hege Edvardsen

Hege Edvardsen is an experienced medical professional with a strong background in oncology and cancer research. Currently serving as Country Medical Director ad interim at GSK, Hege has previously held positions as Medical Manager Oncology and Senior Manager in Research, Development, Innovation, and Advanced Therapies at Legemiddelindustrien (LMI). At AbbVie, responsibilities included Head of Research and Operations for Scandinavia, Medical Affairs Manager, and Medical Manager for Bio-T and Real World Evidence. Early career positions include Staff Scientist and Project Group Leader at the Dept. of Genetics, Institute for Cancer Research at OUS Radiumhospitalet, as well as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Cancer Research. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Biochemistry and a PhD in Cancer Genetics, both obtained from the University of Oslo.
