The Role:

Glen Dimplex is seeking a high-calibre and motivated professional with the relevant experience to play a key role in the Group’s Financial Control Team.   

The role reports to the Group Financial Control Manager and the role will focus on delivering the monthly consolidated group management accounts and supporting the annual group audit and responsible for the preparation of statutory financial statements for our subsidiaries in Ireland and the UK.   In this role, the successful candidate will be a key member of a high-profile team across the Group and will liaise with the finance teams in each of our divisions and provide business partnering support to our Group functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the monthly Group consolidated management accounts and provide financial information for decision-making support across the business, as and when required.

  • Assist with the year end audit process and support the preparation of the Group Financial Statements.

  • Support the annual financial statement process for UK / IRL entities.

  • Work with the team to deliver monthly, quarterly balance sheet reviews and assist in the balance sheet review process for the group.

  • Support & involvement in M&A activity.

  • Manage the group reporting structure and chart of accounts maintenance within the consolidation platform for the group.

  • Assist with updating finance policies and procedures for the group.

  • Continue to innovate and improve the existing management and statutory monthly/ annual processes to aid the on-going business transformation and improve quality and timeliness of reporting.

  • Work alongside our group tax, treasury, and FP&A functions.

  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.

Qualifications/Experience

·         Qualified chartered accountant (CA/ACA/ACCA/CPA etc).

·         Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a financial reporting (consolidation environment) / statutory reporting role.

·         Experience in FRS102.

·         Experience of Cognos / SAP and other consolidation tools an advantage.
