Fiona Banks is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community development, urban planning, and business resilience. Currently serving as the Senior Coordinator of Community Development (Wellbeing and Social Policy) at Glen Eira City Council, Fiona leads initiatives focused on community wellbeing, gender equality, and social policy. Previously, Fiona held multiple leadership roles within the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions, where responsibilities included managing programs to support small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic and overseeing the Wellbeing and Mental Health Support Initiative. With prior experience as Manager of Economic Development at City of Boroondara and various significant positions at KBR, Inc. and Nillumbik Shire Council, Fiona has consistently demonstrated strategic leadership and project management expertise. Fiona holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Melbourne, along with several professional development qualifications.
