Juan Hugo Ponce

Juan Hugo Ponce is an accomplished Human Resources professional with extensive experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Currently serving as HC Study Manager at Glencore since June 2023, Ponce previously held significant positions including Senior Consultant at Coyn Ltda., HR Manager at Capstone Copper for the Mantoverde Operation, and HR Manager at Thiess, where responsibilities included supporting diverse local operations in Human Resources across Chile and South America. Ponce also served as HR Director at Sierra Gorda SCM, leading strategic HR initiatives, and as Regional Leader for HR business systems at Freeport-McMoRan, where Ponce implemented major HR technology projects across South America. Earlier experience includes project leadership roles at Computer Sciences Corporation and business planning at Minera Escondida - BHP Billiton.
