Richard Leonard

Richard Leonard's work experience begins in 2008 when they worked as an intern in the accounting team at GECAS as part of their college degree requirements. In 2010, they joined Deloitte Ireland as a Trainee Accountant, eventually working their way up to Senior Manager. While at Deloitte, they passed FAE exams and gained experience in managing jobs within deadlines and budgets.

In 2011, Richard was seconded to Premium Golf Brands Ltd for four months, where they worked as a Credit Controller within the accounting team.

In 2018, Richard joined Trinity College Dublin as a Lecturer and also started working as a Group Finance Manager at Glenveagh Properties PLC. In their role as Group Finance Manager, they were responsible for managing internal and external financial reporting and implementing process improvements.

In 2020, Richard became a Finance Manager at CK Hutchison Holdings Ltd, overseeing financial management, reporting, and investment appraisal. Richard later joined Glenveagh Properties PLC as the Group Financial Controller before being promoted to Head of Finance.

Richard also worked as an FAE & CAP2 Lecturer at Chartered Accountants Ireland from 2018 to 2022.

Throughout their various roles, Richard has demonstrated expertise in financial management, reporting, budgeting, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

Richard Leonard attended Crescent College Comprehensive from 1999 to 2004. Richard then went on to study at the University of Limerick from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Studies degree. In 2009, Richard pursued a Master of Accounting degree at Dublin City University for one year. Finally, from 2010 to 2013, Richard attended Chartered Accountants Ireland, where they completed the ACA program, focusing on Accounting.
