Andrew Kim

Andrew Kim has worked in the technology industry for over 25 years. In 1995, they began their career as a Process Engineer at Applied Materials. In 2000, they joined Lumileds as Director of Phosphor Engineering, Director of Vertical Integration, and Director of Epitaxy Development. Andrew was also a Senior Manager and Senior Scientist at Lumileds. In 2012, they joined the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research & Technology, Low Energy Electronic Systems IRG as a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board. Since 2016, they have been the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Product at Glint Photonics, Inc., where they have developed new business opportunities and is responsible for product development, operations, and sales & marketing. Andrew's first commercial product, Hero, has been recognized in major lighting and design awards from 2019-2020.

Andrew Kim obtained a S.B. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1995, after having studied there from 1991. Andrew then went on to complete a Ph.D. in Electronic Materials from the same institution in 2000.
