Joel Tealer

Joel Tealer is the current Chief Human Resources Officer at GBG. Prior to this, they spent 26 years at Chubb, where they held the role of Senior Vice President of Human Resources for U.S. Field Operations, Major Accounts, and Financial Lines. In this role, Joel was responsible for providing strategic HR leadership to Chubb’s business units in these areas. Joel was also responsible for providing strategic and consultative partnership to key business leaders in support of the successful merger of ACE Insurance and Chubb Insurance.

Prior to their time at Chubb, Joel was a Product Manager for Marketing at Guardian Royal Exchange. In this role, they were responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of GRE’s product portfolio. This included drafting policy language, product packaging, designing new products, and developing effective advertising and marketing programs.

Joel Tealer earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin with a focus in marketing. Joel then completed executive education programs in insurance executive development and finance and accounting at Wharton University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Finally, they completed an executive education program in leading change at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Their manager is Christopher N. DiSipio, CEO. They work with Howard Ehrlich - General Counsel, Melissa Santanello - CFO, and Joseph Freedman - CRO.
