Vineet Nagpal

Vineet Nagpal is a Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer for GIP Credit, having joined the firm in 2020. He is based in New York.

Prior to joining GIP, Mr. Nagpal spent over 20 years in investment banking roles across risk management, leveraged finance, credit portfolio management and trading. Prior to GIP, he spent nine years at NatWest Markets, US (formerly RBS) where he held the titles of Chief Risk Officer, Chief Credit Officer, and was Head of Leveraged Lending. Prior to joining NatWest Markets in 2011, Mr. Nagpal served as the Portfolio Manager at JPMorgan managing over $75bn of bank’s credit risk to oil & gas, power, metals and mining, and industrials sectors.

Mr. Nagpal holds an M.B.A. from Darden Business School (University of Virginia) and Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree from National Institute of Technology, India.
