Alex James

Alex James has a diverse background in various industries and roles. Starting in 2005, they worked at the University of Alabama Ferguson Student Center as a Team Leader/Conference Coordinator, overseeing event setups and making important decisions to accommodate unexpected situations. They then moved on to Liberty Mutual Insurance, where they served as a Claims Negotiator and developed a training module for pricing construction items. In 2013, they joined JCI Atlanta as an Executive Vice President, organizing fundraising events for charitable causes. From 2012 to 2014, Alex worked as an Associate (Part-time) at Panton Equity Partners, sourcing acquisition targets and conducting financial analysis. They also had a role as an Author at 52 Weeks 52 Challenges, focusing on personal challenges and creative projects. In 2014, they joined Cox Automotive Inc. as a Senior Analyst, handling forecasting and budgeting for the product group. Following that, they worked at Cox Enterprises as a Senior Consultant, performing strategy, financial, and process improvement projects. During this time, they were promoted to the Senior position within 7 months. From 2018 to 2020, Alex worked at FlixBus as an HR Controlling Manager, streamlining reporting processes and implementing self-service tools. Most recently, they joined Global Savings Group in 2021 and currently hold the role of Associate Director Executive Operations, leading a global team in business modeling, goal setting, and operational reporting.

Alex James holds a Masters in Business Administration with a specialization in Capital Markets from Emory University's Goizueta Business School, which was completed from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, Alex earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Alabama, majoring in Management with a minor in Economics from 2004 to 2008. In 2007, Alex also studied Business at KEDGE Business School. Additionally, Alex obtained certifications such as Project Management Tips and Tableau Essential Training from LinkedIn in 2021, as well as Human Resources training and Introduction to the PHR Certification Exam in 2018. In 2012, Alex completed the program "Doing Business with Brazil 2012" at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas.
