Baosheng Sang

Vice President, R&D at Global Solar Energy

Baosheng Sang has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Baosheng has held various roles in the field of solar energy and technology. Starting in 1988, they worked as an Assistant Professor and Lecturer at Lanzhou University. From 1998 to 2001, they served as a Senior Researcher and NEDO Fellow at Showa Shell Sekiyu K.K. Baosheng then worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Institute of Energy Conversion, University of Delaware from 2001 to 2003. Baosheng joined Energy Photovoltaics, Inc in 2003 as a Scientist and CIGS Team Leader until 2006. Baosheng then took on the role of Team Lead Process Engineering and Materials and Process Engineer at HelioVolt Corporation from 2006 to 2010. Baosheng then worked as the Executive Vice President of Technology at GS-Solar from 2010 to 2012. From 2012 to 2015, they served as the Vice President of Technology at HelioVolt Corporation. Most recently, since 2015, they have been working as the Vice President of R&D at Global Solar Energy.

Baosheng Sang obtained their Ph.D. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, covering the period from 1994 to 1998. Prior to that, they pursued their M.S. degree in Solid State Physics at Lanzhou University from 1985 to 1988. Earlier in their academic journey, they completed their B.S. degree in Physics from Lanzhou University, spanning from 1981 to 1985.
