Matthew Stubberfield

Matthew Stubberfield is an accomplished finance professional currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at the Global Wind Energy Council since December 2022, where leadership is provided to the finance team and support services. Prior experience includes roles as Financial Director at GWEC, Consultant Director of Business Development & Finance at Shell Shock Media CIC, and CEO at Renewable World. As the Founder of Active Kampers Ltd, management of a seasonal leisure business was conducted over a span of 11 years. Earlier in their career, Matthew held positions at British Land as Head of Risk & Internal Audit, and at Hogg Robinson/Xafinity as Internal Audit & Risk Manager, along with early roles at KPMG and Kidsons Impey. Matthew holds an MBA in Sustainability and Responsibility from Hult Ashridge and a BA in Economics and Politics from the University of York.
